There was a little table set up in the classical literature section, today, and it was crowded with novels by female authors. Jane Austen and the Brontës took up one side, while Mary Shelley, Louisa May Alcott, and Emily Dickenson occupied the other. Willa Cather and Virginia Woolf took up the foot, and Murasaki Shikibu looked vaguely uncomfortable at the head. Or possibly Tip was over anthropomorphizing the sole non-Western book in the group.
In the middle of the table was a giant heart shaped waffle with "Happy Galentines!" written on it in whipped cream. Tip confiscated it for the books' own good. She was pretty sure that whipped cream wasn't part of old book conservation.
