She did have enough awareness to see the other girl waking in the other direction, grunt something close to acknowledgement and then step out of the way.

It was the least she could do when finally, someone who knew how to behave.

Rather than worrying about things like heat or ice cream, she was walking around with her hand extended into her screen, quietly narrating any oddities she saw into her logs.
So far, compared to the norm that she'd experienced since arriving on the island, there wasn't anything too weird. Was it bad that she was hoping that would change?

She hit a button on her limb enhancer, and a recording of her own voice piped up.
Log Date: Five, twenty-seven, two. The island seems to have landed on another planet in time for their ritualistic pre-seasonal-shift greeting ceremony. The new - predominantly human - residents of the island have, as of yet, been underwhelming. Even if some do appear to have delusions to the contrary. The greeting ritual is... tiresome, but I'll persevere.
And then she poked the button again, and the voice stopped.

Peridot looked quickly in the direction of the mainland, wondering what she'd find if she crossed the Causeway. Wondering, too, how long they had left if all Earths had a common history with the Earth that she was familiar with.
