Atton had only limited usage of his left arm, including the hand, but he had the kolto patches tucked underneath the sleeve of his jacket. Nobody was going to notice but the people who knew how, and that had the bonus effect of letting him know who knew how.

Anyway, he had a glass of juice in his right hand and he was eyeing the crowd.

"Never heard of him."

That wasn't true; Atton'd heard the kid's name on the radio and seen him on the listing, but he hadn't actually met him.

Atton rolled his eyes. "I socialize," he retorted, "I spent all of last week socializing my ass off!"

Well, that'd been true for the first couple of days, anyway.

Never mind that she wasn't big on socializing herself.
