Once again, Zoe had taken over a room for the student council, and set out plates of food for everyone to have a good lunch. Now that it was November, there weren't as many pumpkin-flavored treats out and, much to Zoe's annoyance, the replacement treats were mostly green and red. It was barely halfway through November, seriously.
"Thank you all for coming," Zoe said, once everyone was settled in. "Welcome to the calm period of the semester. We've had some very successful events, and you all should be very proud of yourselves. The only thing that's coming up soon is Thanksgiving, in a little less than two weeks. If you're not familiar with the tradition, it's essentially a food holiday. There's all sorts of American history behind it, but now, the day is about eating a lot of food and watching football games." She figured she had the essentials down well. "There won't be classes on that Thursday and Friday, so people can go home to be with their families, but a lot of people stay behind, so we've done some things in the past to make sure the good food still happens. If that's something you might want to do, just say the word. Otherwise, if you have some ideas, let us all know."
