There were tables and chairs set up all around the lawn. Some were in the sun, where folks could work on their tan while they ate, and some were in the shade where folks could stay cool and non-crispy ( Read more... )

Please don't mind the pink pony busily scarfing down cupcakes by the food table. She was making sure there were still plenty for everypony else! Mostly by pulling more brightly decorated cupcakes out of a seemingly bottomless saddle bag when the plate started to look empty.

It almost had to be.

For a brief moment, energy coalesced near Dante's back as he thought about bringing Rebellion out... and then realized all the demon was doing was eating cupcakes.

"Now there's something you don't see every day," he said, raising an eyebrow at the thing. From afar.

"Well, you just might around here!" Pinkie said from behind him. If he turned to look, he'd see her waving. If he then turned back to the snacks table, he'd see her no longer there.

. . . We're admittedly not entirely sure what'll happen if he doesn't turn to look, or at least blink. Everyone's always turned to look, before.

... Yeah, that was a bad thing to do to Dante, who looked over and, in the next second, tried to take a swing at the creature.

Which didn't connect because he'd glanced towards the snacks table for the first half of that second and ergo hit thin air.
