Parker is examining her newest purchases, and nobody gets to touch them. She'll slap your hand if you try.
Targets are set up-- with a specialty on gremlin silhouettes.
Have at it.
ETA: Best score on the Gremlin silhouettes gets a case of free ammo and a bottle of your choice of booze from Parker.

She walked over to the weapons and began looking them over. "How's your day been?"

"Do I want to know why Zero was talking to the books, or is just going to make my head hurt?" Sam tried to figure out when things like this stopped surprising or even bothering her and couldn't put her finger on it.

"It'll make your head hurt. Contracts signed in blood always do." Parker shakes her head. "Want me to start the count on your gallery?"

Sam was almost obscenely excited at the prospect, but she was standing next to Parker, who seemed to get it, so she wasn't too concerned about retaining her dignity.
"She signed a contract in blood? Here? Wow...that's...even dumber more reckless than jumping into that locker."
"Yeah, that would be great, thanks."
Reply
"In Zero's defense, it was accidental, but.. yeah. I think we have to look into breaking the contract." Parker bit her lip. "But I'm worried the Library will feel rejected if we do that."
Parker hit the video recorder/counter, and moved away to watch.

Sam looked at Parker incredulously. "You're worried about rejecting the Library now? When did it become sentient?"
She took her position, rolled her head on her neck, and fired the entire clip at the target in rapid succession.

"Uh, we're kind of afraid it always was. Evidently it likes snarky people with caffiene addictions." Parker shrugged helplessly. "It hasn't done anything *bad* to Zero, to be contracted to it, but... it's worrying."
Parker watches Sam shoot, then smiles wryly. "You've been practicing, I think."

"Well, then it's certainly picked the right staff, hasn't it?" Sam asked, grinning. "Of course it's worrying! She's signed a deal in blood with a sentient Library. That can't possibly be a good thing."
"No, just more focused today. No classes."
Reply
"I can't think it's a good thing either, but breaking the contract without it hating us-- tough call. I'm going to bring it up to her at the next Investigations Club meeting. If she's going to investigate weirdness around here, she needs to start with herself."
"Ah. I had Ethics except not really, so I can't tell you about it but otherwise, Fridays are always easy. Are you going to Echolls' party tomorrow?"
Reply
"Maybe the Library will have a book on it? And, well, yeah."
Sam considered this, tilting her head to the side and hoping Veronica Mars didn't sue her for it. "You know, I think I am. I've had a very strange week and need to cut loose a little. You?"
Reply
"Oy. Only Zero would have this happen to her. *sigh*"
"I'm going, if only to prove I can be civil to Echolls, so Rory quits worrying. Plus, I need to pick up a present for Alex Krycek, and I'm sure he'll be there." She shakes her head. "I'd say it was a tacky idea, but... Honestly? I'm as glad to still be alive as anyone else."
Reply
"Only because Daniel Jackson isn't a student. Otherwise, you can be sure it'd be his name on the dotted line, instead of hers."
"It's maybe a little tacky," Sam said as she reloaded her weapon," but it's okay to celebrate life--isn't that what a wake is all about?"
Reply
"Oh, is that the kind of thing that he used to do? I thought you guys were kidding about him getting killed..."
"I'd feel more certain about that if it weren't Echolls giving the party," Parker said dryly. "But Gilmore's there to play Good Taste Police, so. I'm going."
