Gabrielle, let's be fair, didn't look like someone who'd been washed up on a beach more than once in fairly recent hours by the time she made it into the library, a tiny bit later than she usually did. Faramir did have a tendency to want to know too much and when it concerned his friends, he even wanted to know more.

"It must be very interesting what you're reading," he commented when he found Gabrielle at the desk.

"It is," Gabrielle answered as soon as she could look up from a volume on the history of vaudeville (she'd gotten a little sidetracked), which took a few seconds, though it might have been worth it given the bright, relieved smile she gave him. "Theater has come a long way since my time, but it's strange how similar it still is in some ways."

Not that she knew she'd be living The Producers in a year or so, but it was amazing how long ago proscenium theaters and the accompanying stage tech, not to mention the business culture that went along with big Broadway-style blockbusters, had been discovered.

"Have you got any new stories for me this week, Faramir? Because I may have one for you in exchange."

Who, as far as Gabrielle knows, has not spent any time recently dressed as a card from the Rider-Waite deck, has he?
