Library, Monday (12/13)

Gabrielle and giant mazes didn't get along; Gabrielle and anything that stood a good chance of her getting hopelessly lost and/or dramatically imperiled didn't get along. Actually, that wasn't entirely accurate -- things like those tended to like Gabrielle just fine. She, on the other hand, was less than fond of them.

It was why she'd been particularly glad to have gotten off the island just in time last Monday and missed the whole thing, although her attempted trip back to the Amazon village had turned into a week-long detour into . . . well. Into the Amazon.

She supposed it could have been worse; nothing there had tried to eat her. That was almost a first. But now there was work to be done tidying up the area around the desk, making coffee (as per usual), and finally settling down to read the letter from Xena that'd arrived for her that morning.

It didn't sound promising, and as a result Gabrielle was incredibly distracted today.
