Today, the students met back in the classroom. In the center of said classroom was a kids' inflatable pool. On one side of the pool were toy battleships. On the other, toy sailboats.

Arthur sat back and listened, taking his lessons where necessary about numbers and how they could help or hinder.
He also made a vague mental note in the back of his head that at least if Albion had to be ruled by a woman, it was one, to use the local vernacular, who was badass. He was oddly mollified by that thought.

Boats weren't space ships, but something about a woman-led fleet made of smaller, more maneuverable ships versus an armada of larger battleships that thought they ruled the water appealed a great deal to her.

Arthur was there, of course, and...
... well, we weren't going to lie. He was 'researching strategy' with the boats. If it was any consolation, he really was thinking mainly about armadas.

Mat was there examining the design of the boats. The only ones he'd ever seen up close with from the Seanchan invasion and those hadn't exactly left a great impression on him.

His friends at home would tip over in surprise at Mat paying this much attention to anything that wasn't a girl.

Because that sounded useful.
