This...was a short lecture and, for that, Jonas was thankful. Still, he felt his heart pang uncomfortably at the word 'love' and had to duck his head and try to calm himself down.

"You can't stop someone from feeling," Kyle insisted, a little more into this than most discussions. "It's what makes us human. Or people," he added as an afterthought when he realized not everyone on the island was human. His tone got more heated. "They were probably trying to do what any order does, desensitize its soldiers so emotions won't cloud judgment. But expecting anyone to give their emotions up entirely, instead of choosing how to react in spite of them, is wrong." If he knew how to spell wrong he probably would have done so aloud right then.

Kyle shook his head. "It's still trying to control how people are supposed to feel. Free will is another thing that makes us people. No one should try to take away either of those things."

Raven was there, just a little twitchy about the topic of the lecture. If she had been paranoid, she might begin to suspect Anakin choose his topics after talking to her earlier in the week.
