Lily greeted her class in the gym today, because as nice as it would be to be outdoors in the fresh air, she hadn't had time to make new basketball hoops and these were already made

"Ms Aldrin?" Yakko asked. "I have a question."

"Yes... uh..." She didn't know names yet. And she wasn't sure what he was anyway. "What is it?" That was safe.

"What happened to Mel Gibson? My little sister used to love him! She'd be crushed to find out what's happened to him!" Yakko said.

"He got very very scary," Lily told him. "It was very sad. And now we all just kind of want him to go away. I'm sure your sister will find someone new." Interspecies love never worked anyway. She assumed. She didn't know.

"Who would you say is the new Mel?" Yakko asked. "He deserves a head start before Dot finds him."

"If she goes for Mel Gibson, Zac Efron's probably not the answer. Try Daniel Craig." Why was she answering this?

"Thanks a lot! I'll send him a letter!" Yakko said.

He jumped back and started to bounce down the bleachers on his butt. "Boingy, boingy, boingy!" he called as he bounced along. On the third boingy, he was launched towards one of the baskets, banked off the backboard, and went through the hoop. "Three points!"

Lily stared after him, pretty sure basketball wasn't supposed to work like that.

Then again, she was not about to stifle a student's creativity.
