The school gym is transformed. There's cool lights, decorations (including non-tacky streamers), and tables and chairs near the doors, forming a dance floor in the middle of the gym. CJ squeals and claps and heads straight for the floor...her college years flood back during Heart Of Glass. She doesn't even care if no one else is dancing, someone has to be first.

A big fan of Blondie from his time left long in the past, Red bounded through the crowds and leapt into the middle of the crowd to scoot a paw in time with her singing.

Scooter is right behind him, and then in front of him, in mirror-dance position, but doing the only dance he knew: the muppet. He did it really well, though.

pad pad pad pad Each foot lifted and stomped in time with the music. Red had to make sure to keep his head up or he would step on his tie.

Scooter's sneakers squeak against the wooden floor of the gym as he shuffles and slides and waves his arms about in time to the music. He grins at Red. "This is really fun! Particularly after last weekend . . . "
