Choosing Your Own Government--Monday, Period 5, Class #10

Vala was exhausted, and looked it. She yawned, then addressed the class from her spot behind her desk. "Hello. I know what most of you were up to this past week, and particularly this weekend, and I know how much sleep you probably didn't get. I didn't get back from London until relatively late. So, instead of teaching a class I'm not clear enough to communicate and you're not conscious enough to comprehend, I'm reinstituting what I understand is a primary school tradition."

"Everyone push their desks to the side of the room, then grab some crackers or cookies and a plastic cup of apple juice," she instructed. "Pillows, mats and blankets are by the door if you want them, and as soon as everyone's settled, I'll turn out the lights."

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a well-deserved naptime."
