Wilson was not unsympathetic to the events of the past week and the toll it had on the students. So he juggled through the syllabus a little and chose an exercise that was a bit whimsical but at the same time had a physical element that might help the kids focus a bit.

Hoshi would have taken notes for old time's sake, but she had made the mistake of slipping her communicator in her pocket this morning. Now it was beeping like crazy because Malcolm apparently had some sort of crisis in 22nd century San Fransisco. She was surreptitiously trying to remove the communicator's power cell. It was a good thing that she helped design these things for Starfleet.

Lana looked rather worried. She wasn't sure she was physically strong enough yet to do any jumping off trains today.

Oh come on, Johnny thought as he listened to Dr. Wilson. No flying? Man. This exercise just couldn't be as much fun without his honed ability.

Which was futile, he caught her looking. Too bad he wasn't yet aware of their conversation later, because he might have just gotten up and walked out of the classroom.
