The students had been handwavily sent notes that the Mad Science class would be taking place in the Danger Shop beforehand. Once they arrived, they'd notice that the place had been set up to look like a dark and foreboding laboratory in the basement of a large building. "Yasutora Sado," Chad introduced himself simply. "I'm, uh..." He had to think about it for a moment, "seventeen. I'm interested in all science, including mad, and I've beaten and fought lots of monsters. Mostly Hollows. Some trolls."

"I'm not familiar with Hollows," said Prof Tomoe. "What sort of monsters are they, and how have you beaten them in the past?"

He was totally taking notes for nefarious purposes about this.

"They're, um...these big ghosts things, that want to eat people's souls, and you gotta break their masks to kill them, which I couldn't actually do until I got this arm armour and..." Chad grunted. This was way too much talking. "It's complex."

Prof Tomoe jotted that all down onto his notepad in quick Japanese. Eating souls was so barbaric when you could simply rip them out, see if they were worth anything, and then shove the worthless ones back in the hosts.

Kabuto smirked slightly. "Yakushi Kabuto. I'm eighteen years old, and I'm a ninja specializing in the medical field. I don't deal with 'monsters' often, unless you count the Lord Orochimaru's and my experiments." He shrugged, pushing up his glasses so they flashed in the light. "My world tends to be somewhat lacking in the way of actual monsters."

Something about Yakushi reminded Prof Tomoe very much of a younger version of himself. As such such he gave the ninja an appreciative look over.

"Thank you, Yakushi." He grinned evilly. "If you've never dealt with monsters before, you'll find the second half of the course to be a real learning experience."

"Just Kabuto, please, Professor," Kabuto said with a smile. "As for dealing with monsters, I never said I haven't dealt with them before. Just a different variety. One could very well call some of our...playthings...monsters. However they were, at one point, human."

"I prefer to refer to people by their familly names." The professor titled his head, and his glowing red mouth grinned again. "Unless you have a mineral-themed nickname I can use instead."

All his henchwomen back in Japan named themselves after minerals. It was something of a tradition in the Sailormoon universe.

Kabuto had never fancied himself the type to carry an "-ite" name, and the idea just wasn't something he was interested in. "Then Yakushi is fine, I suppose. I'll get used to it, eventually." It was true; he'd never gone by his family name before. Not that there was any 'family' attached to it.

"Zack Addy," he said. "I'm sixteen, nearly seventeen. I'm interested mainly in forensic anthropology and engineering and I really think 'mad' scientist is a misnomer. I got kidnapped by trolls once."

Prof Tomoe raised an eyebrow. "Really? And what would you consider Mad Science to be instead?" He tapped his pencil against his pad a couple of times.

"Are trolls native to this area?"

"My name is Donatello, I'm 16 years old, I do machines am mainly interested in engineering, but I dabble in pretty much all areas of science whenever I get a chance," he said, rather excited to be in this class so far. "I suppose the last experience I had with 'monsters' would be the mutated leader of the Foot clan. He was a nasty piece of work."

The Professor looked over the giant turtle a couple of times before deciding that it didn't pose an immediate threat to his operations. Must have been a leftover youma, from one of those other evil groups based in Tokyo. He wished they would get their acts together, and stop letting those nasty Sailor Soldiers interfere with everything.

"What kind of mutations?" he asked. "Energy draining?"
