About Magic [Week 6, P 1]

As the students filtered in, if they filtered in the learning space was complete Aggie free for about five minutes when a bright line of light sizzled in midair, went ram-rod straight, then expanded into a circle.

A circle that... didn't quiet go to nowhere, but it certainly didn't lead to anywhere on this island. About twenty seconds after the circle appeared, a broom shot out of it, the circle sealed back up into a line and disappeared. Aggie had shot out of the circle, ridding the broom. She brought the broom to a full and complete stop just inches above the ground before she gently dismounted.

"Oh how splendid! You're all here and early too! Class isn't for another..." Aggie greeted everyone as she looked down at her watch. "Oh my! It's now! I must have taken a wrong turn back at 1557. Sixteenth century France has always been tricky. One time, I sat down to dinner with Michael and his second family and we had the best... Oh, I'm sorry. I've got away from myself."

Aggie leaned down and beckoned to her bag which waddled closer. She opened the bag and turned to the class, "Today we will be looking at the principles of time travel. First I must warn you, a responsible witch or wizard tries to avoid her or his own time line. For the purposes of this class demonstration, you will not be able to travel one hundred years before your birth or one hundred years after your death. You may travel one month forward or back from this day, today, from your own time period, but the risk of negative impact is too great otherwise. So we will be traveling to a few of my favorite spots in history."

"Which is to say, everyone please come up in groups of two or more. No sense in cluttering up the slip stream with sixteen or seventeen brooms when less will do." Aggie began to pull broom, after full size broom from her bag. "Come on up, don't be shy."

Once everyone had paired up, maximum of three to a broom, Aggie took a seat on her broom and waved a hand in the direction of where the circle had been. It appeared as before. Aggie waved a hand at the brooms and there appeared between them, from broomhandle to broomhandle a long, long silvery thread linking broomstick to broomstick. Then she waved at the circle, it opened wide and away they went...

[OOC: OCD is up! FYI, Aggie thinks she's landed in the class she would have held two weeks prior. Feel free to clue her in to being gone. I've been modemless for the last two weeks, I am so very sorry. I have missed you and hope you aren't keen to throw rocks at me. If your character would like to opt out of the time travel field trip, that's perfectly fine, just say so either as you sign in or in the OOC thread. I'll be around from 8pm - 12am EST today and slowplay from there out.]
