Thursday appeared in the library out of thin air wearing the clothing suited to a working class woman in the 1930s. She had been absent from her librarian duties since Monday due to a BookWorld emergency. The Council of Genres had leaked to Jurisfiction that there were some issues with the content of several novels, including Nabokov's Lolita, that needed immediate investigation.
Technically, it should have been dealt with within a few hours. The Council of Genres, however, had then suspended all of the questionable works. This included Nabokov's work with Thursday inside, making it not only impossible to leave, but impossible to use the footnoterphone to contact anyone in the outside world. Commander Bradshaw and the Cat spent days to get them to reverse the decision and restore the novels to working order.
Making a mental note to pick Friday up this afternoon from the Bradshaws, Thursday unlocked the library and set to work on finishing up the section on Birds of the Arctic, Sub-Arctic and Really Cold Planets.
