If you make a mess, Jaye'll make you clean it. Or, she'll try.

Peter surveyed the mountain of potatoes with a bit of alarm before grabbing a knife to start peeling them. He wasn't fast by any means, but those potatoes were very well skinned.

"A potato peeler, a bucket of potatoes, and thee," Jack said as he started in on the potatoes. "Even if there really isn't a thee."

Peter chucked a potato towards Jack. Because really, bad adaptions deserve it.

Jack laughed and stuck out a hand to catch it. "What?" he asked innocently. "Did you want to be the thee?"

"Oh no," Peter replied laughing. "I am quite happy with the thee I have already. Just seemed like the appropriate responce."

"True," he agreed. "And I've got thees of my own I'm extremely happy with." He lobbed the potato back to Peter. "Don't think you're getting out of peeling that one, though!"

Peter snagged the potato out of the air with a grin. "Just for that, I won't help you when I finish my mountain first."

Jack grinned and started peeling faster. "Who says you're going to finish first?"

"I just thought that it was obvious I would," Peter replied, chuckling and starting to peel faster himself.

"Hmmm, obvious, huh?" Jack deftly finished the potato he was working on and tossed it into the bucket, snagging another. "You've got some sort of magical potato peeling ability?"

Peter pasued for a second while finishing his own before responding. "No, but...that would quite possibly be the oddest power ever."

"I don't know," he said, laughing as he carefully slid the peeler around the potato, a long curl of peel trailing his hand. "If we're ever attacked by killer potatoes, it would come in handy. And in this place? I'm not prepared to rule that out."

"We've already faced killer desserts in any case," Peter replied. "Side dishes really are next." He traded his peeler in for a paring knife, feeling more comfortable with that. "And if the green beans rise up and attack us at dinner, we're so going to have to take responsibility."

"Jello dragons, right?" he asked. "I missed those. But green beans wouldn't stand a chance." He frowned as he concentrated on getting the peel off in one piece. "No mere legumes can stand against the combined appetite of the Fandom High populace. They'll be all Attack, my fellow vegetables!, and five seconds later they'll be drowned in gravy."
