"Possibly because people have an ulterior motive when they treat someone nice. It automatically makes someone think you want something when you are nice so just to be nice for niceness sake might make a person appear to be naive. Not that you are naive to treat someone with common decency but some people might perceive it as such." Maia said before she realized what she was saying. It was rare she spoke out in class discussions.
