Class today was meeting inside a Roman palace, with the tables lined up on either side of a torch-lit, columned corridor. Janice was pacing between the tables, her cigar unlit this week, waiting for the students to get seated.

"Look a little different to you today?" she asked, gesturing with her free hand at their surroundings. ( 'This is the Roman Emperor's palace the way, according to my research, it looked in Caligula's time.' )

Marie took some notes, but she was pretty sure they wouldn't make any sense when she tried to decipher them later.

There was a possibility that Sam's notes were clear enough for him to read, but it wasn't very high.

"Struck by lightning?" repeated Janice. First there was Billy yesterday with his 'turned into a lizard' excuse, and now this. "How the hell did you get struck by lightning? Far as I can remember the weather was fine."
