Constant Vigilance 2, Session 2. Friday Sept 15th, Period 4

Sep 14, 2006 21:21

The Doctor waits until everyone has gathered in the classroom, then dims the lights. The layout is exactly the same as the previous week. He points to a small basket attached to the front of the desk, which has a small sign that reads 'Assignments Here' on it.

There is also a springloaded small gremlin thing -in- the basket, which had in no way jumped out at the Doctor while he prepared the classroom and caused him to point his sonic screwdriver in a frantic manner.

The Doctor then turns on the projecter, which produces three human-looking images, side by side in front of his desk.

A tallish man in a black outfit, with a black (but greying) goatee.
A long faced fellow in a monk's habit.
And finally a woman with hair only half as frightening as her outfit.

"You'll recall," he started, "that last week I said I was from a planet that no longer exists. I have stated in the past that I am the last of my race. In part, that is wishful thinking. Not wishful that no one else survived, as that would be heartless, but wishful that none of these folks survived. While it may be a strong statement, they are a plague on the universe. Rogue Time Lords, like myself, but ones bent on manipulation, greed, manipulation, all that sort of rubbish. The fellow with the goatee, that's the Master. You might remember me talking about him before in the summer session. But for the benefit of those who were not in that class, we'll start from scratch. And not in my words. His."

The black dressed projection gave a chuckle.

"I am the Master, and you will all obey me," the Master-projection said. "If I am to tell you all a little about myself, I would normally require you be at my complete mercy. However, circumstances as they are, I shall indulge your gruddy little curiosities. I am the Master, though at one time I may have answered to the name Koschei. My hobbies include enslaving people to my will, attempting to control the universe, and long walks on the beach. I don't believe you deserve your free will, but any of you pretty things would be welcome to bow at my feet and serve me, if you wish. If not, I will eliminate you in a manner that amuses my whims most at the time you stand in my way." He gave a long, evil laugh.

"Total loony, right?" the Doctor interjected. "Well, the next fellow is a bit more focused."

The monk-like projection also chuckled. "He thinks I was misguided. I was merely operating on a simple principal. Let the history be damned, and shape things so they work out in a new, better fashion. I helped build Stonehenge, I'd deposit money then travel forwards in time to collect the interest, then go back and deposit that money, so on and so forth. I was hoping to do some more restructuring, but that meddling fool back there interfered. Under a different face, I'll admit, but it was still him."

"Oh, be quiet, Mortimus," the Doctor said. "His problem was that he wasn't half as clever as he thought. But he was greedy, and had no sense of proper consequences of his actions. That made him very, very dangerous. I trapped him twice, in various places where he could do no harm. He surprised me both times by managing to escape. Of these three? He's the one I actually would expect to see again. But now, there's the last one. Her."

The projected woman didn't chuckle. She smirked. "I am the Rani," she said. "And--"

The projector suddenly sparked and started smoking. The projections disappeared. The Doctor made a bit of an 'eep' face, and pulled off his jacket to smother the electronics with it before they caught flame.

"Well, I guess you'll have to resort to the packets of notes I have for you," he said. Said packets contained a lot of information much like the above wiki links. "As for the rest of the period, we'll have an activity. When dealing with megalomaniacs like this, you'll find that if they get you tied up, or even just walk into their lair, all it takes is a little ego stroking and they'll blab their entire evil plan. I've pairs prepared, and one of you will be assigned an evil plot by fetching one from my hat. It is your job to be the megalomaniac. The other partner is to try and get them to admit their evil plot so you can foil it. Simple. Questions?"

After answering any questions, the Doctor smiled. "No assignment for next week. Get in your pairs and have fun. The pairs are as follows: Zack Addy with Alex Krycek, Marie D'Ancanto with Dana Scully, Kaylee Frye with Cameron Mitchell, Carmela Rodriguez with Pippi Longstocking, Walter Dornez with Dean Winchester, Nadia Santos with Togusa, Phoebe Halliwell with Buffy Summers, Pip Bernadette with Stark, Seras Victoria with Barbara Gordon, Layla Williams with Door. Jack, please fill in where needed, especially in the case if Miss Summers is still a puppy, would you?"

[ooc: Wait for OCD, danke. Ready to go. Please see OOC thread for a note about the activity. Post'll be open for slowplay in case I paired up people with clashing availability. Please wrap up by Monday evening, though.]
