I love the stream of consciousness in this piece and the transistion of Grindewald's thoughts through the years. He grows and changes and truly believes what he is saying at each point in time the entire way through.

The relationship between them (either as friends, partners or lovers) is very interesting to explore and think about as the development and destruction of it all is fascinating.

I really like this! Great job! :)

What an interesting story you tell here, of a man alone with his thoughts, and the slow realisation (and horror?) of what he spent his life and freedom on. The last paragraph is so so sad, but still somehow comforting, that he will now do what little he can to fight the personification of his own old ambitions...

I've really enjoyed both your fics; I'm glad you posted them. Again here, as with the last one, you choose a rare POV character and do a great job with it--and in relatively short word count. I like how he's addressing Albus. I like his search for answers: Why? Was it your brother? Was it your sister? I like the overall progression. I like how he chooses not to betray him in the end.

I really enjoyed this as well--I haven't read very many fics from Grindelwald's point of view, but you've got it nailed down! The changes in his views of Albus work so well, as do his realizations of his own shortcomings.

Excellent!

You're really a master of the technique of picking moments in time to show, so believably, how a character can change over time.

I especially liked Grindelwald saying that Voldemort must be stopped -- and then later realizing that he had been much like Voldemort. Aha...

I always like fics that make a canon moment seem even more meaningful, and this one totally does that for the canon confrontation between Voldemort and Grindelwald.
