I'm so glad that Lex also lied to Clark and screwed up their relationship also. Too many fics make the end of the friendship about Clark's lies and that annoys me I find.

I've always felt that the decline of Clark's and Lex's friendship was down to both of them equally. Sometimes I think people forget that Lex lies just as much as Clark does.

I believe they both lied but I'm more inclined to blame Lex a little more seeing as I understand Clark's reluctance to tell anyone any of his secrets, considering that's the only way he can be hurt and all. After being invincible for so long, you'd be afraid of getting hurt, right?
Anyway, they both could've tried waaay more instead of just letting it decline.

I think people tend to romanticize Lex far too much in their stories.

Hehe! I have to be honest I have been guilty of romanticizing Lex in the past, but with this particular fic I wanted to try and make it at least reasonably realistic
