I'm feeling a bit dense at the moment (too much cake I suspect), but I understand that the donations should be denominated in AUSD, but I am expecting to make a donation to my local Red Cross (in Canada), and the receipt I'll be getting will show the amount in CAD. At the current exchange rates, AUD and CAD are near parity. Would that still be acceptable?

Thank you,
-pdt

Yeah, this is fine. CAD, AUD and USD are all pretty much exactly the same at the moment...

Thank you for asking though!!

eta: It is possible to have too much cake??!!! WOW! I don't think I have ever reached this point! Haha!

Thank you for your prompt response. I'll send over my tax receipt copy to the email ASAP.

And yes, it is possible to have too much cake... but it takes a really, really, big effort. ;-)

Yes you can!! AS long as you're one of the top two then you're a winner, no matter how much lower than the first bid you are...

Hope that helps!

If I wanted to auction off graphic work AND fic, would I have to do two separate posts or only do one. I'm planning on a 'buy it now' option. Thanks for any help!

I'd say do two, but it's up to you. We've had people put it all in one. I don't mind either way...

Sorry, that's probably not much help! Seriously, up to you... As long as the format is the same for both (ie. both are buy it now) then it should be fine. But if you think it'd be easier then definitely feel free to make two entries...

Thank you for getting back to me so quick! I think I'll do two, just to make things clearer : )

I am donating to Red Cross, USA and my company matches my donation dollar-to-dollar, doubling it. I do have an email receipt. Is that enough? So I just forward it to floodreliefviafic@hotmail.com? Do I include the name of the person I bid for?
Sorry for stupid question, I've never done this and want to make sure I do it correctly.

Hi!

Firstly, thank you SO MUCH for your support! We couldn't do this without awesome people like yourself. Secondly, yes, your email receipt is enough to prove that payment was made. If you want to include who you bid for that would be great (and make our lives easier)!
Hopefully this answers your questions. If I haven't, just let me know and I'll try to be more clear.
