Murdock could have just as easily made his own coffee in his own apartment, but the coffee shop had the advantage of possible company.
Plus, the coffee tasted a whole lot better.
He camped out in one of the over-stuffed chairs with a cup of black coffee and an apple danish. The staff preferred him there since the tables gave too much opportunity to re-create the leaning tower of Piza with coffee straws and sugar packets.
What? It was art!
