Maia sat in a corner of The Towers gardens, a little pile of twigs in front of it. She was waving her wand at them, little sparks emitting from the end as she tried to catch the twigs on fire. It seemed all she could do was make little sparks but it made her happy. She stuck a leaf to the end and waved it around, her back to anyone who might

Maia jumped at the sound of Tonks' voice. "Damn." She said as she dropped her wand and it landed pointed in the mud. "You think?" She said sounding pleased with herself dispite her now very muddy wand. "I got the sparks to change color earlier. They aren't green anymore." She said in an excited voice as she picked up the wand and wiped it off on the edge of the blanket she was sitting on.

"They looks like a dark red now. What's that mean? Every now and then though some green ones mix in." She said as she held the wand out for Tonks to take and examine.

Maia started laughing when she saw some red sparks off the wand when Tonks twirled it. "Well you're a passionate person so it stands to reason." she said with a slight blush that quickly faded. "What's the green ones mean? When I first waved it in the shop and it was green? Do your sparks change color like that on your wand?" Maia said leaning back onto the blanket watching the ease with which Tonks handled the wand. Almost like a professional drummer twirling their drum stick.

Maia's mouth opened slightly in surprise. "It's awake in me now?" She said almost in a breathless whisper. "But I don't know any magic other then what you taught me..." Maia's whisper was pleased and fearful all at the same time. She blushed slightly again under Tonks gaze, if she was magical, really magical would she have to go away and learn it all now? Do they teach people as old as she was?

Maia thought hard for a moment or two concentrating, "My hand feels warm now, when I wave the wand around. Sort of like I put it in a bowl of warm water or something...that didn't happen before really. Just one other time. Is that something?" She said chewing her lip.

"When I blew up that twig with your wand. It just kinda shot through my arm really fast. I didn't notice it until it started to happen again with my wand." Maia said, she was pleased Tonks was taking fast and was excited. She was practically bouncing when Tonks said it was good that happened.

Maia squeezed Tonks' hands back. "What do we do now?" She said bouncing into Tonks even more excited.

Maia frowned slightly "I- I don't know. I can't really remember them..." She said in a soft voice.
