Welcome to Day 30 everyone! I have two, maybe three, updates for you today. First, I am pretty sure everyone knows we made our first goal of $1000 - and then promptly passed it. Congratulations! As of right now, the donations and store purchases have added up to a total of $1288!
If you haven't
donated yet, please don't let the fact we reached that goal stop you now.
Second, it is almost time to start voting on the next two charities. I know, today marks the end of the first month we've been working on this, how can it happen so soon? However, in order to give everyone time to research charities and then vote, we would like to post the poll on
the web site starting July 27th. It would run until September 1st. The poll will begin with the charities previously mentioned, and you will have the ability to nominate charities as well. Be sure to research your nominees. They should be a registered non-profit in the US or UK.
To look up registered UK charities, visit
the Register of Charities.
To look up registered US charities, visit
the Internal Revenue Service.
My third update is more of a question. I am thinking of knitting a narrow scarf with a devil's trap in the pattern at each end. If I were to auction it off, would you bid or think others would? What colors do you imagine working best?
Okay, that's it! Have a great weekend!
Store capture.
Paypal capture. **The $50 echeck hasn't cleared just yet.**
ETA: I forgot. If you are going to send a note in for the Comic-Con letter, you have until the 19th. So far, we have about six, which is fine, but we want to make sure everyone who has donated or made a purchase in the store gets a chance to
send in a brief note if they wish.
