Good evening, Fandom. This is Principal Winchester, sadly coming to you alone this week. I suppose I could have the squirrels kidnap a partner for me again, but I don't think that will be necessary. This time around, at least.
School Notes
The
Battles That Changed American History class talked about the Civil War - the one that happened in the 1800's, I assume - the
reasons behind it, and whether
seceding was the right thing for the South to do. The
What it Takes to be a Badass class got into the Halloween spirit - Loki had the students
dress up in terrible costumes and try to
convince him that they were still badasses, before they could leave class.
The
Demolition and Dynamite students learned how to make
non-fatal booby traps - ones that still exploded though, of course. The students
got to work, and
Makita and Proto went right to their task as they tried to figure out how to rig a pen to explode. As long as none of those kinds of pens end up in the office of a teacher or myself, I suppose I'm all right with the idea. And in
Science of Deduction, Holmes and Watson fought about child protection while the students
watched a video about the parts of the body.
George was eying the pumpkins at
the library, and Ariel enjoyed the Halloween-themed menu in the
cafeteria today, although
Rilla was worried about the food being strange, and talked costumes with Ariel. Then, this afternoon, the
Apathy Club met, much to the annoyance of George, who wanted ice cream instead of people at the meeting. Everyone had some time to
get together, which
Squall used to complain about the people who continued to show up. He told
George to get ice cream and
not whine, and then there was the
whatever train, all under the watchful eye of
Professor Farnsworth.
Sometimes, I really wish you all could see through the radio, to know how much I'm shaking my head at you.
Dorm Notes
Bod was in his room, feeding his fish and taking care of a cat, when
Jacob came home, and learned that the cat is really Kate. Oh dear. At least it's over a weekend, hopefully, so she's not missing anything important?
Luke was sitting in his room, watching horror movies and eating candy, when
Percy stopped by to talk about Halloween costumes, and about whether or not he and Luke were as hot as girls as they are as boys. Oh boys, I'm sure you were both very pretty.
Jono came back to his room, looking exhausted and on fire - as on fire as he ever is though, I'm assured.
George found him and asked if everyone had won on their mission, and he said yes, basically. That's a little less reassuring, I'll admit. And in the fourth floor common room this evening,
Elphaba was channel surfing when
Alexander came in looking for a red leather-bound book, and they mounted a search to see if it was in there.
Town Notes
It looks like things were quiet in town tonight!
Alexander went around town putting up signs for a haunted Mansion party being hosted by Kappa Kappa Gremlin this weekend,
Arya decorated Coyote Medicine for Halloween, John Watson worked on a blog entry at
the clinic, and Jessica was making faces at the bottles at
Caritas.
And those are all the notes I have tonight, so I suppose that's my cue to sign off. Have a good evening, everyone, and since I won't have a chance to say it again before the holiday, have a safe Halloween.
