Fandom Radio, Tuesday, January 8

Jan 09, 2008 18:54

Good evening Fandom, you're listening to WTFH Fandom Radio, Seely "the Near Naked Newcaster" Booth, broadcasting, hopefully for a very long time to come.

Classes, we didn't miss them

Professor Lulu teaches Surviving Cooking how to make light salads. Casualty figures aren't in yet. After the lecture, students introduce themselves, and attempt salad. Liir's the TA, and naturally Lulu is there.

Spycraft is sneaky. Mel and Sokka sneakily exchange longing looks, while students give stealth introductions. Ninja-TAs are Zuko and Teddy. Afterwards Sokka starts a fight with Zuko which Aly breaks up...possibly by breaking some heads.

Basic Computing have a lecture, make with the introductions, and do geeky building thing typw stuff, and all of this is watched over by Professor Mike.

Interactive Religions, taught by Professor Biff, have a lecture. Rikku and Reno are not happy to be there, while rumours that I had some strange issues, was drunk, or possessed by demons large or small, are scurrilous lies. Students introduce themselves in a stunning change of pace. TA Karal has a fire kitty and a visit from Andrew. Professor Atreides is Biff's teaching buddy, Billy bugs Biff about his ...wargle... and gets told to scat, and Karal shows off his cat. To Biff.

Anemone opens the Library, but doesn't have much to do until Professor Todd the Librarian comes in to share stories with her.

Professor Glitch has office hours, and is visited by Liir, Dean Jones and a fern, Willow, and a tarted-up Adah, not dirty. Also having office hours are Professor Kerrigan, with visits from Lee and River, and Doctor Wilson.

Dorms, suddenly more crowded

Up in the Third Floor Common Room, Ron watches Crime and Punishment. I love that "CHUNG CHUNG" sound. Alex drops in and announces herself as a newbie, then she and Ron bond over being able to do magic here. Right. Jack Burton gives advice about Fandom, while being surprised at all the newbies. Ron is more blase about the matter.

Up still further in the Fifth Floor Common Room, Brooke watches a show about bush covered valleys...diiiiiiirty. Eve wants to know what's on, which is really not a topic I want to get into on air. Or whether Jen and Brooke are talking about ordering pizza in a euphemistic or literal sense. Adam might be able to shed light on this, given that Jen offered him pizza, and Brooke told him about the non-appearance of turtles...and big 't' or small, there's no way that would have been of the good. Naomi comes in to say hi.

In other news, Lana checks in on Max, and warns her about gremlins and the like. Sky makes calls home that leave him emo, okay someone should tell him about the roof. Anders tells Isabel he's worried about Bridge and Z so they start playing online games...okay. Karal checks on Liir to try to get him to feel better, is there a rash of emo affecting the newbies or something? Then Teddy tries to convert Liir to comics. Mmm...comics. Lucas is bored, at least until Coraline tells him about Jeff and his accidental nudity...yeah that kind of thing happens a lot around here. AJ works on a new art project. Jaina doesn't repress at all while studying. Karal visits Andrew for tea and UST and I am serously drowning in tiny, squirrel- made glitter-flags here guys. The mightly hunter Seregil returns with a fresh kill of pastries for him and Harry, but Bob doesn't get any. Haku and Teddy are in their room, with Teddy wanting to be back on vaction already, I know the feeling. Rikku studied dot dot dot. Mmm...ellipses, they're what's for dinner.

Town, on alert level "newbie"

Ed's a little late at the Wellspring Arms, in constrast to Liz who's on time to open the Post Office. Adam opens Wonders of the World. George Michael opens the banana stand.

Jeff ninjas into work at the Arms, Coraline, a frood who knows where her towel is, namely with Jeff, visits, as do Ino with coffee, and Turtle with Chinese and pastry, Jeff is sutible grateful for both. Millie wants help at Book Haven, and quickly finds it in Liir and Seregil.

Also in the hiring business is Melody at Groovy Tunes, where Teyla soon finds gainful employment. Shockingly enough, Giles is also looking for new staff for the Magic Box, however he only finds Liir in search of clothes, and Karal in search of answers. Yitzak air-guitars at Luke's, Jack gets lunch, and Michael gets a job.

Juli walks in the Park, and gets to know Hoshi.

Billy and Kara go on a date at Pizza Planet, while over at Joanna's, Joanna and Constable Fraser don't...or do...my notes are a little smudged. In any case, immediately afters Fraser flees for Robin-not-a-frog, and talk of hybrid vermin ensues.

Dick's late to open Caritas, then makes Tino do all the work.

Over at the clinic, Doctor Troy spends the morning looking for female anatomy on the internet, if you know what that means, and being convinced to give Adah a job. Wyatt spends the eveing shift looking for female type presents on the internet.

And once again that's all the news that's unfit to print, so until next time, this is Seely "Naked Under His Clothes" Booth, signing off.
