Anders: Squirrels again? Are you making a habit of this?
Cassandra: If this is anyone's habit, I can assure you, it is not of my choosing, mage.
Anders: Not of mine either, promise. At least the pile of notes today is small, so I'll just get on with it.
Anders: At school,
Driver's Ed learned about steering, and we
drove around barrels filled with water with only a little crashing. And in
Day After Doomsday, Hardison gave the students some extra supplies as a reward for getting organized. The
scouts reported back on what they'd found, and people continued to
make future plans. And then there was a
scary noise and hopefully no one wet their pants.
Cassandra: You have such a high opinion of these people.
Anders: Yes, well. It comes from experience. The students
reported back to Hardison on what they would do next, and he got an
apology from Hanna for, er … it says she kidnapped him over the weekend. I can't be funny about that.
Survive the Island gave the students the choice of discussing the weekend or punching things, and in the library
Cosette saw the books doing a conga line. Whatever that might be.
Cassandra: I assume it is a kind of line.
Anders: Thank you. Very insightful. In the dorms,
Cassandra was reading about magic in her room -- really? -- when
Thorin visited to discuss the aftershocks of being old and incredibly important last weekend.
*chitters*
I know that's not what the note says. I'm … extrapolating.
Cassandra: He was not old. For a dwarf. And I hardly see how my reading about magic is confusing to you. I did do a project on the island's magic last semester.
Anders: Believe it or not, I don't follow your schoolwork. *pause* Find anything interesting?
Cassandra: Nothing I have an interest in telling you about.
Anders:Hmmph. *longer pause* … being silently offended doesn't work on radio, does it?
Cassandra: No, I would imagine not. Regardless, in town,
Edward spent his first day at the post office in a decent mood. I suppose it was improved when
Cosette arrived to flirt with him and share food, though why the squirrels would linger on such gossip is beyond me.
Dipper also enjoyed his first day at work at the Android's Dungeon. … Guarding an android…? While
Lottie spent her first day at Groovy Tunes taking 'selfies', whatever they may be. I see many of you have become gainfully employed this week. I suppose that is good. My co-host's
Nathan tried some of the wares at the ice cream shop, and
Anders spent time with him, discussing the matter of brain freeze - I do not understand ice cream, myself - and their potential futures. I would not pay the weekend much heed, mage. It was ridiculous.
And
Cara saw fit to celebrate the weekend by hosting a special on drinks that do not age. I suppose that is topical.
Anders: Indeed. And that's the news. So long, island.
Cassandra: Hmph.
