Tonight's House
A-) House/Cuddy - Don't like it, can't make me. First of all, I don't like it when the main characters are in relationships with each other. It means someone's going away, either physically or by dying, period, the end. That's what it always means.
Secondly, the fuck? This isn't something that makes the characters better. Oh, it 'humanizes' House, but does it in a way that I? Don't want House humanized, thank you very much. He's screwed up. He's supposed to be screwed up. He *isn't* supposed to be declaring his love for Cuddy. I can live with it though, because even *doing* it is screwed up.
What it does to Cuddy on the other hand is... an exercise in god damn fucking wrong "I'll do horrible things to you." He's been stalking and sexually harassing her for years. "Yes, but you're THE BEST MAN I'VE EVER KNOWN!!!eleventy".
Yeah, that's a great way to rip the backbone out of a character who has, over all, been a strong female lead, and turn her into yet another screwed up fuckbunny who's there to be an accessory for the main, male character. I'm not usually feminist about this stuff - at all - but seriously? SERIOUSLY?
B-) Chase asking 13 to sleep with him. It was kind of cute and very Chase. Loved her reaction to it and his confusion at the hug. The execution overall, though, felt really, really random. Maybe he expected it to fail - I don't know.
C-) 13 vanishing: Love. The most interesting (and least enraging) thing to happen in the show, outside frog egg poisoning.
More spoilers likely in comments.
