Promoting a show without running afoul of copyright
Hi! I was considering designing some tee-shirts to promote the television show Supernatural, which I think is woefully under-promoted, but I don't want to violate the CW's copyright. I'm not going to use any copyrighted images or anything, but the designs would of course reference the show - for instance, a silhouette of a '67 Impala and the phrase "My other car is the Metallicar", or of a Winchester rifle and the phrase "Salt and burn", or possibly even quotes from the show. I'd also like to add a tagline of "Watch Supernatural" to the designs. Does that sort of thing violate copyright, do you think?
I don't expect to any money from this, and if I did, I'd undoubtedly just use it to buy more Supernatural stuff ( like sending Season 1 DVDs to the troops), but I really don't want to annoy the copyright holders of the very show I'm trying to promote.
