Not hard to identify the three, really. General Jack O'Neill was resplendent in his Air Force uniform, the rank and insignia of position quite clear on the epaulets. He sported a pair of dark sunglasses as proof against the sun, and, well.. it was just cool. He was no fool, knowing the psychological benefits to hiding one's eyes. Keep the other person a little off-balance, and whatever lies, planned or on the spur of the moment were easier to tell.
Well, that, and he was a jerk. Came with the territory.
The blonde, however.. she, too, was in Air Force uniform, her rank as a Lieutenant Colonel plainly visible upon her own collars. She was in skirt, pale blue shirt and dark blue jacket. Colonel Samantha Carter didn't hide her eyes behind a pair of aviator shades. Perhaps, too, that was a game... good officer, bad officer.
One could imagine many things with the trio.. but they had the air of being very comfortable with each other. There was an air of familiarity, a silent understanding of one's place within the trio, and the blonde easily waits, though there's no mistaking the gleam in her blue eyes as she links her fingers together before her.
O'Neill took note that no one extended their hand in greeting, filing it away. A deep breath was taken, and his hand rose to pull his glasses from his face, revealing dark, serious eyes. "I'm General O'Neill, this is Lt. Colonel Carter, and Mr.. Teal'c." His hand, rather than offering it, was used to point out his compatriots.
"So I hear. I'm still not convinced, but at this point, I'm willing to give it a shot. Give a little trust..." Jack looked over at Sam, his lips pressed tightly briefly. He was placing way more trust in Sam than anyone else, truthfully. If it weren't for her--
"And, I've done my part. It's the colonel that you need to be talking to. All that.. physics mumbo-jumbo just gives me a headache."
The blonde colonel gave the general a slightly lopsided smile before she unclasps her hand and extends it in greeting, each in turn. "Sirs." Here, her tones were bright, upbeat, but there was an undertone of sobriety. This was no dumb blonde. "I'm looking forward to it, actually. So far, what I've heard, I think we've got a shot at it. I would like to ask, however, if you'd accompany us so we can talk a little more openly." She didn't ask, per se.. but more a statement. Gesturing towards an area that holds a parking lot, there were a few cars parked. A large SUV was the one she meant-- a silver/grey vehicle.
There, she paused, her expression softening, and her tones dropped. "We want our people back too, Mr. Wilson, Mr. Forrester." Daniel. The sergeant. Even McKay. Never leave anyone behind.
