"No," George said, giving Faith a big ol' hairy eyeball.
"No? You don't want breakfast?"
"Hell yes I want breakfast," George corrected her, taking the mug of coffee and breathing in the scent with pleasure. "I'm starving." Then she opened her eyes again (when did I close them?) and looked at Faith.
"But whatever it is, the answer is no. If you're trying to bribe me with breakfast, it can't be good."
"Starving, huh?" Faith asked. She ignored George's not so veiled accusation. Not a good sign. "You work up an appetite last night with Bill? Good for you!"
"Faith!" George glanced around, happy to see that nobody--well, almost nobody--was within earshot.
"C'mon, Georgie, we're all adults here. These things happen--"
"They do not! I mean, well, yeah, but--" George knew before she finished the sentence that admitting she had, in fact, slept with Bill was a mistake. Faith's face lit up.
"You vixen, you!" Faith said approvingly, giving her a light punch on the arm. "Tell Auntie Faith all about it!"
George choked on a sip of coffee and turned a glare on Faith. "Let me just say eeeeeeeeew!" She had enough issues with her relationship with Faith without the mental picture of "Auntie" Faith in her bed. "Thanks. Now I need some brain bleach."
