"You going to take that, doctor?" Her tones were light. Not a bad morning, really, now that she had at least one cup of coffee 'under her belt'. She winced theatrically at the bananas getting smashed. Another came at the flying of the plum, and some of the ripe juice flew, only a few droplets, but enough to mark the perimeter.

River nodded. "Two hundred year old ancient has much better grasp of fun than overaged thirtysomething."
"Who are you calling ancient, spacehead?" Molly Smacked River with a semi-fermented breadfruit. The teen could doubtless have ducked, but she took it before smacking Molly with another plum.
"Wait a minute! We're supposed to get HIM!" Both girls looked at Daniel with an evil glint in their eyes.
"River, he does not look sticky enough." Molly had a half a grapefruit in her hand.
"No, he does not. I think he is suffering shock. Perhaps some sugar is in order."

Molly-- the commander picked her way, carefully, dodging some of the more hastily tossed fruit. A -very- ripe plum, however, on a slightly off-course path meant for River got her as a glancing blow on her shoulder with a *splat*. She winced as her arm came up instinctively to wipe the goo away.
"I'll start phase two," she stage whispered to the sidhe, attempting to keep a keen eye out for another 'blow'.
She needed to go find the next stage of operation, 'Keep Daniel occupied for the day'... Hey, she didn't name it. While he was occupied with non-business, the others could pick up the slack-- Scott, Sam, John... she could make sure there was 'round the clock' protection for the scientists, who were gearing up to spend as much time in the ... sphere as god and daylight would allow ( ... )
