Daniel was sitting there, that line between his brows forming, sure to give him premature wrinkles.  His back was straight, his shoulders tense.  He needed this.  He deserved this.  And oh, ( Read more... )

Susan had every intention of settling in and having an informal chat with Daniel. More than a few things were on her mind, pretty much the norm for the former XO, and with her hands behind her back, whistled softly as she approached. Slowing, she watched the taunting and smirked. -That- was one of the things on her mind, truth be told. She could see the weight on his shoulders... and she was going to see how the idea of being 'relieved of command', if only for a day sounded to him.

"You going to take that, doctor?" Her tones were light. Not a bad morning, really, now that she had at least one cup of coffee 'under her belt'. She winced theatrically at the bananas getting smashed. Another came at the flying of the plum, and some of the ripe juice flew, only a few droplets, but enough to mark the perimeter.

Molly winked in Ivanova's direction. "Oh, he'll take it. Because he's a namby pamby stick in the mud with absolutely no sense of fun. I mean look, we put a whole basket of sticky, oozing over-ripe ammunition right next to him and he sits there with this shocked look on his face."

River nodded. "Two hundred year old ancient has much better grasp of fun than overaged thirtysomething."

"Who are you calling ancient, spacehead?" Molly Smacked River with a semi-fermented breadfruit. The teen could doubtless have ducked, but she took it before smacking Molly with another plum.

"Wait a minute! We're supposed to get HIM!" Both girls looked at Daniel with an evil glint in their eyes.

"River, he does not look sticky enough." Molly had a half a grapefruit in her hand.

"No, he does not. I think he is suffering shock. Perhaps some sugar is in order."

The girls' whooping and hollering drew plenty of attention. Dean's eyes lit up when he realized what was going on. He immediately tossed his homemade shovel aside, stripped his shirt off, and sprinted toward the fun in progress. "FOOD FIGHT!" The shelter he and Sam were building for one of the newbies could wait a few minutes ( ... )

Susan watched the proceedings a moment, stepping aside with a larger smile as Sam and Dean entered the fray. She nodded at the 'hey babe' greeting, though her head turned slightly and her brows rose. There were things to get used to, certainly.

Molly-- the commander picked her way, carefully, dodging some of the more hastily tossed fruit. A -very- ripe plum, however, on a slightly off-course path meant for River got her as a glancing blow on her shoulder with a *splat*. She winced as her arm came up instinctively to wipe the goo away.

"I'll start phase two," she stage whispered to the sidhe, attempting to keep a keen eye out for another 'blow'.

She needed to go find the next stage of operation, 'Keep Daniel occupied for the day'... Hey, she didn't name it. While he was occupied with non-business, the others could pick up the slack-- Scott, Sam, John... she could make sure there was 'round the clock' protection for the scientists, who were gearing up to spend as much time in the ... sphere as god and daylight would allow ( ... )
