Susan and early morning were not on good terms, ever. Civil, sure, but always with an underlying tone of hostility and resentment. Granted, on a space station, it was always dark, so she didn't have the benefit of a sunrise, but the fact remained that it was morning. And it always came too soon.
Though a restful night had passed, or perhaps because a restful night had passed, it took effort to wipe the sleep from her eyes and allow them to focus. She was alone, but the figure moving away from the outside entrance of her shelter told her that she hadn't been... and that elicited a sigh as she found her way to her feet, and to the change of clothes. There was no way she was going out there in a nightshirt.
It didn't take long for the commander to get dressed, shorts and a t-shirt again (no time to put her hair up and out of the way, so she left it down), and made her way out as some of the others were gathering. Wasn't hard to find the origination of all the commotion, and she joined the group.
Her face scrunched slightly to a considering frown as she looked around the group. A quirked smile came to replace when she saw Sam... and how he was dressed. She could rely on the fact, then, when action was needed, he'd be there. Of course, she couldn't let it go unremarked. "Caught you by surprise too, Sam?"
Then, it was back to the problem at hand as she moved to stand with the immediate trio of men. "Okay." Her words were light, but there was that touch of.. ease of command underlying; the search for answers beginning, even if it was too damned early in the morning. "I'll bite. What is it?" Other than the obvious.. a sentient-designed conveyance? If it was, indeed, some sort of ship. "And more importantly, why before coffee?"

Sam blushed from head to toe. Nevertheless, he managed a grin. "Yeah."
"Okay. I'll bite. What is it? And more importantly, why before coffee?"
"That," Sam chuckled, "is an excellent question. I've no idea."
