River walked ahead of the group, keeping to the semi-solid grass at the edge of the sand. Up ahead the community waited, unwary. Some things must be. Oona would understand. So would the Doctors.
She saw when others noticed them. Some

He stopped next to Daniel Jackson, happy to let the man continue to keep charge of those here, but wanting to get a good look at the newcomers for himself. Out of time, all except for the Asian woman and the dark haired man's who posture and attitude screamed police. Out of space, every single one of them, but he wasn't going to rely on that sense, his own was a bit muddled and probably would be for another few hours until he acclimated to this universe.
"Oh, I know you, Psi Corps," Ten gave a half-grin, not precisely friendly, but not threatening either to the man in gloves. "Such a lovely picture painted while beneath the canvas crumbles to dust."
He gave only a moment's pause, long enough for his smile to fade and flicker, for warning to flash in his eyes. The Doctor knew what the Psi Corps was beneath the shiny surface, and he knew how they would fall. He simply didn't know where this man fell in the spectrum.
Then, quick as a flash, his smile was back. "You're in good company though. More than a few telepaths on this beach from what I've heard. Amazing lot a few of them," he winked at Ami, he recognized her from her files and from Nine's descriptions of the women and what had happened to them. Ten turned back to Remy, "Some might even surprise you."

He looked nothing like The Doctor, he was prettier for one, but his mannerisms and speech had a certain ring of knowledge and confidence that rang of the Doctor.
When he winked at her, Ami didn't hide her surprise or startlement. Of course the Doctor, the other one, Rose's Doctor - and how were they going to keep two of them straight? - was telepathic, so his future self had to be as well. It didn't explain why his future self looked so different from his current self, however.
"Where'd you come from?" An attractive dark skinned woman asked the group. Her accent was familiar and comforting in it being British. She stopped at the Doctor's side, but she studied the new arrivals, "Did you wake up under the mushroom?"
The Doctor beamed at the woman, "Brilliant question, Martha!"
"Yes, that is a good question," Daniel agreed. He gave a polite nod and smile to Martha, and turned back to the group, "River wasn't exactly forthcoming on the details."
"Details change and unravel," River replied instantly. "Arrival not important. Path only goes one way."

Joon stepped out of Miho's shadow toward this universe's Dr. Jackson. The difference was obvious. Jackson seemed... nice. "Um, excuse me? Mr. Jackson?"
Jackson smiled the same killer smile. "Yes? And please, call me Daniel. You are...?"
"Ri Joon," she replied. "Joon Ri, in the Western order." It took effort, but she managed not to glance at this universe's Scott Hayden to see if he reacted to her name. He shouldn't, but it would make her job easier -- and more enjoyable -- if he did. She'd been sleeping with her Dr. Hayden for months. Judging from the way this Hayden clung to the black woman's hand he was pretty whipped.
"I, um, don't know any of these people. We all woke up under a giant stone mushroom." Joon waved in the direction they'd come from. "Miho found us, then her. River." Joon glanced around uncertainly again. "Could I have some water? And maybe something to eat?"

"Very few of us knew anyone here before we came here," Daniel continued. He turned and indicated the signal fire and cook fire, "Why don't you all follow me and we can get you some food and some water?"
Daniel started that way, waiting for a few of the new arrivals to follow along or fall into step beside him.

Seven, sir, six, sir, five, sir, four, sir, three, sir, two, sir, ONE!
Tenser, says the tensor,
Tenser, says the tensor,
Tension,
Apprehension,
And dissension have begun.
His soft ditty played always in the background of his mind... and he enjoyed the joke that it evoked, particularly now.
Sam Tyler's introduction, his hand offered in greeting received the same in response, the gloves remaining on. "Remy White. PsiCorps. Home is Mars." The telepath looked up briefly, and back, his expression a touch apologetic. "It may sound strange. But, I was born in Hawaii... if that helps?" As for the last? "2262." He chuckled, the sound soft. "When and where. I am to assume, then, that a varied spread of timeperiods is... present?"
The Doctor's approach actually was the one thing that took the telepath's attention. His brows rose and the look of seemingly infinite patience remained easily set upon his face. He chuckled, the sound... smooth. "I know. I'm making their aquaintances even now." Looking to Ami, and Scott, he canted his head slightly. The posture of the man, the expression... all suggested some sort of change. He didn't always need his ability, after all. Understanding would come, he already had the knowledge, and he was a patient man. He smiled, and nodded as he shifted his weight. "Surprises come so rarely to me anymore that I welcome them."
Food... now that sounded like a good idea... and he, too, turned his back, his covered hands drawing behind his back and linking. "Thank you."

Kenzaki had been continuing the unofficial patrol he tended to keep. He'd go and recharge in his shelter for a bit before starting yet another patrol during the night. He felt tense for some reason, and he wasn't sure why.
He scanned over the newest folk, trying to see if there was anybody he recognized. Nobody seemed to be hostile. Deciding to keep an eye on them, he followed the group silently.

Other than a slight tilt of his head White hadn't seemed to notice Scott slipping into the emotionless void. Although he couldn't feel Ami's emotions, Scott's healing sense felt how her body had tensed. Scott let go of the alien calm. His and Ami's unease rushed back. He sent her a pulse of love and reassurance.
/I wanted to see if he'd notice,/ Scott explained. He frowned after the retreating group of newcomers. /Daniel has the situation under control. Let's go back to the fire./

He didn't speak up. Ten was doing quite well with that thank you.
"What's he mean by that?" Rose asked quietly.
"Later. Means your shields aren't strong enough and you got just enough a link with me and the TARDIS to pique his kind's interest. Let him do the talkin for now. Two of us would put their guards up more than they are." He kept his arms crossed, but let Ros wriggle a hand into the crook of his arm.
Surprise him? Yeah. Cause him half a minutes real panic if they remembered and kept practicing defensive and trapping lessons. But none of them would hold out longer than that. Not enough practice, not building enough strength.
