Marie had gotten the basics from Jack and from Ami. Her shelter was built, pronounced sturdy, and just had to wait for her to construct mats. She'd raised the ground level for safety's sake. After all, she had books to look out for.
Daniel Jackson was standing alone for the moment. She imagined he was very busy, running the camp. She hoped he had a moment to spare; explaining her talent was not going to be easy, no matter how mundane it was in this place.
"Doctor Jackson?" she asked. "May I please speak with you for a moment?"
