I think this one is backwards:

"Don't use unnecessary prepositions, either at the end or in the middle of a sentence. If you can leave off the preposition, and it doesn't change the meaning, you should leave it off. Where will Teyla be meeting you at? sounds better aloud and looks better on paper as Where will Teyla be meeting you?."

Um, ignore that. I misread the word "as" as "than" ("...looks better on paper than..."). Sorry. *blushes*

Did you happen to grow up in Midwest America?

I'm just wondering, because I did, and ending sentences with "at" is a defining trait of my speech patterns. It's a midwest thing.

Nope, I grew up (and still live) in NYC. I just completely misread the middle of the sentence, somehow seeing "as" as "than"...which has nothing to do with where I grew up, and everything to do with my just failing at this post. ;-)
