Investigating

Now that the damn paperwork is finished I can finally take a look through this gap. I'm not one for paying much attention ta my surroundings, but I'm pretty certain it wasn't here before this morning. No one else seems to have noticed yet which is good as Captain Kuchiki would start asking questions that I don't know what the hell the answers would ( Read more... )

Ghosts that cannot move on? In the world I'm from it would be the job of a shinigami ta make sure that they can move on. I wonder whether my powers would have any influence there.

I died at a very young age and in Soul Society the outer regions are tough. Rukia and I are the only ones left of our friends from there. We decided that the only way ta survive was to join up as Shinigami and help the protection squads with work on Earth. Then I nearly lost her due ta Aizen altering commands of the main council, and I nearly killed Ichigo, now a friend of mine - an arrgoant annoying idiot, but still one of my best friends - because I blamed him for Rukia's position.

He is still living but now has shinigami powers. He is a substitute shinigami. Though if Rukia had never given her powers ta him to save them both she never would have ended up in that mess in the first place, but then Aizen would probably still be in Soul Society with no one else knowing what is goin' on.

What worries me is this tear in Soul Society that enabled me ta get here. If there's one there there could be one in Heuco Mundo, and the last thing Soul Society would want is for hollows to start eating souls in other worlds, and I dread ta think what the hell Aizen would do if he found out about this.

Dammit maybe I should go back for a bit, maybe Urahara will know something about this. He always seems to know everything. Though if I wanna decent meal tonight I'm not going there and putting up with their freeloader-san nonsense again!

This confuses me, but I believe in this situation that is to be expected.

Heh that makes two of us. I expect paper ta act like paper dammit, if I wanted ta contact someone I'd use my phone. That's if it works here, certainly not had any Hollow alerts on it yet.

I dislike using paper. I find it rather difficult. Computers and other electronic devices are more usable to me, as their input is digital and thus slightly less complex. Also, it is impossible to construct a cloning lab using paper... But I have no intention of doing that again.

A cloning lab? What the hell did you want to do that for?

I don't dislike using paper, I dislike having to write trivial things up on the damn things nearly every day. Ya'd think they'd be able to find somethin' more worthwhile for the higher ranked shinigami. That was why I was glad that they let me be the one stationed in Karakura town due ta the amount of high spirit energy there attracting more hollows an' stronger ones at that.

It was worth putting up with Urahara's tricks, and Ichigo's stupid arguments ta avoid the paperwork fer a while.

Only computers in soul society are large ones in the research bureau. I can't carry one of those around with me so this paper'll haveta do.

Somethin's telling me I should go back and get some more help on this from some of my friends, but there's also something very odd goin' on here and I intend to find out what!

I am ... something of a scientist. I once constructed a cloning lab fromthe remains of John Smith's lab and used it, but my intentions in doing so were ill and I would not repeat them. However... I simply mean that I am more comfortable with machinery than paper. It is more versatile.

I have friends who might find this situation interesting but I would not endanger them...

Now ya sound like Ichigo. He'd damn well try and find out what's going on by himself trying to protect everyone.
