Though he wasn't sure if House had gotten his annoucement out to the school yet, Wilson went ahead and opened up the School Clinic as they'd discussed the night before

Han comes in after the announcement. No chance of using a good medikit, and his medipac won't last long. The docs had better be able to patch him up without killing him.
House looks Han over. "Yeah. It's voluntary, but adveiseable." House quirks a brow at him. "Follow me to exam Four. And tell me what you've gotten yourself in to tihs time."
"Nothing at all, this time, Doc. Just heard the announcement. Since my biochemistry is a little off the human baseline and since Chewie skipped planet for the semester, I figured you should have a shot at me when I'm healthy."
"Right. Have a seat." House gestured at the table. "So, everything's back to normal? I was kind of hoping you'd drop by sometime and let me know. I'm still sorry I couldn't really help you." House washed his hands and snapped on a pair of gloves.

Han nods. "I woke up myself one morning. Sorry I didn't get back. That morning went straight into finals, then break, and well, you know how it goes."
He takes a deep breath. "What you're gonna find about my blood: I have smaller hemoglobin cells than baseline humans, but more of 'em. There's gonna be some odd proteins and enzymes, but they shouldn't be a real problem. If my blood-alcohol is less than 0.02, I'm dying. And I mean that in the most literal sense possible."
House nodded, and scribbled down those notes on Han's chart. For all he knew the information was already noted, but he'd been in a weird headspace when he'd treated Han before. He barely remembered it.
"So noted. So, you get to drink? And there's not much they can do about it?"

"I keep a stash. I don't abuse it. 20 ml a day for nutritional purposes isn't going to get me in trouble. Miz Sidle knows my species requires it, if she was paying attention to the report I gave."
He hands over a printed sheaf of paper about an inch thick. "I printed down everything I could find on Corellian anatomy and physiology for you. Thought it might help. We're human, but a little off the main branch."
"I'll stick it in your file," House says, and clearly means, after he reads through it. For the moment, he tucks it under the file. He makes quick work of prepping the needle and Han's arm.

Han's got his sleeves up, both of them, and for a kid who has a pierced ear and bracelets tattooed clear around both upper arms, he looks a little nervous about the needle.
"I thought it would help. I pretty much put myself back together most of last semester but, well, I'm in the dorms now and my medikit is somewhere on the other side of the galaxy."
"Having a blood sample on file will help me, if anything goes wonky. At least, that's what I hope. I good, healthy, normal sample to compare, later. I don't know if it would have shed any light on your previous problem, so don't go doing that again, but we'll see."

Han winces at the needle-stick. "I really don't plan to. It wasn't all bad but I'm kinda used to being me. I figure living with Shep, I'll probably catch some kind of weird Earth bug this term. So anything that helps you guys, helps me.
"That's my point exactly. I know a lot of the kids here are not what I consider normal. So when one of them comes up sick, there's not a lot I can do to help, because don't know what I'm dealing with when they'r ehealthy. An abnormal blood test is more frustrating than no blood test at all."
"That's why I'm doing this. Ther eis no normal anymore." House shrugs. "Just one. I'm just going to run a few basic tests. Nothing outrageous. We save that for when you're actually sick."
He pulled the needle out and covered the spot with a cotton ball. "What do you keep in your medikit? Anything I can help you with?"
Re: Exam 4, NFB12parseckesselJanuary 10 2006, 01:32:14 UTC
"Just the usual: irrigator bulbs, syntheflesh squares, a bone-fuser. A dispensery unit for medication. A tourniquet cuff. Doctor Wilson still has an irrigator bulb from when Coach Ash went evil."
Han peeks under the edge of the cotton ball. "I have a personal medipac, which has the bandages. I stocked it before they left. I'm not expecting too much trouble and I'll do my best not to get sick."
"Well, you know you're always welcome in the clinic." House gave him a little smile. He pulled off his gloves and stood up. "I'm going to go put this on ice. You're free to go. Unless you had any further questions?"
"Hey. I heard we need to give a blood sample."
