Dawn was there as soon as she finished WTFing over whatever the hell was going on with Sam. She poked her head into the exam room, trying not to look as worried as she felt and whispering so she didn't wake her. "Buffy?"

Buffy jerked awake, hand searching for her stake under her pillow, while looking around for possible threats. She took in her surroundings quickly. Some sort of hospital room? She vaguely remembered being attacked... And a girl.

"Who are you?" she demanded.

"It's a long story," Dawn said, then stared at Buffy. "How are you getting up? The doctor said you leg was a mess. I knew slayer healing was good, but this is really quick."

Buffy swung her legs over the edge of the bed, looking down to study them. They were obviously as fine as they should be. She looked up, braid swinging as she did so. "How do you know about slayers?" she asked sharply. There was a scar diagonally crossing her lips.

"You're. My. Sister. Duh." Dawn made a face at her now that there was no longer a reason to worry. "What happened to your face? And how'd your hair grow so long in a day?"

"You are a seriously disturbed girl," Buffy informed this Dawn kid. She needed to get to a phone and call her watcher, find out what the hell was going on here. "Is there a phone around here?"

"Where's your cell?" Dawn asked, reaching into her jacket pocket and handing Buffy hers. It wasn't the first time Buffy had called her disturbed, and probably wouldn't be the last.

Buffy grabbed the phone, dialing while replying absently, "I don't carry one. It'd make me too accessible."

"The number you have called is not in use--"

Buffy hung up, and tried again. After the fifth try, she looked up, frustrated. "What the hell is going on?"

"My watcher. I'm supposed to--" She arched an eyebrow. "This isn't Sunnydale, is it?"

"But who's your Watcher?" Dawn asked, maybe getting the slightest bit whiny, "and no, this is Fandom. Sunnydale's on the other side of the country."

"Fuck," Buffy muttered. "Must've taken a wrong turn. My Watcher is my Watcher." She jumped off the bed. "What's the situation like here?"

The girl might be insane -- psychic possibly? -- but she seemed to know about Slayers and Watchers so probably she could give some sort of intelligent reply.
