A blonde head peeked very carefully around the frame of the door between the main lobby and where the exam rooms were; Rosette quickly ducked back out of sight the moment she saw someone at the front desk. She plastered her back against the wall, uninjured arm sprawling out. "Okay," she whispered to Chrono, who was mostly just staring at her with a blank expression. "There's one of 'em. This shouldn't be too difficult; you need to go first. It won't work if we go together and then what you're going to is pull that sleepy 'I've been keeping watch all night' bit and cause a distraction

Christian looked up from his pr0n magazine as Chrono stumbled into the lobby. "Can I help you?" he asked. "You're sitting with that nun, right? She need something?"

Yes, that was a sneer sent over Chrono's shoulder. No, he wasn't very good at this whole sort a thing. He turned back to the doctor with a nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of his head. "Ahh, no, she's just sleeping. I was wondering if maybe...ummm, you had some coffee? The other morning, the nice blonde doctor had coffee..."

Christian waved his hand toward the table along one wall of the lobby. "Help yourself," he said. "I just made a pot this morning, so it's still fresh."
Re: Front Desknun_betterNovember 28 2006, 15:32:48 UTC
"Oh! Thank you," Chrono bobbed his head a bit and made his way over, keeping an eye on the doctor as he started to pour himself a cup. Maybe if he went back to his pr0n magazine, Rosette could do her little sneaky thing and be satisfied with her ridiculous charade, and...
A sudden shout rose up from Chrono and he dropped his coffee cup, as he accidently poured the hot liquid over his hand from being distracted. He hastily set the pot down and cradled his hand. "God dammit!"

Rosette almost squealed with excitement, but kept it back for the sake of not blowing her cover. That was brilliant, Chrono! Even if it was a complete accident. As the doctor went over to have a look at it, Rosette began carefully tip-toeing across the room.
Chrono sucked in a breath through clenched teeth. "Yeah, a little bit," he said, holding out his hand for inspection. "S'not bad, though. I've had a lot worse...."

"Let's run some cold water of it and see how bad it is," Christian said. He turned around and spotted Rosette sneaking across the room. "Just where do you think you're going?" he asked.
Re: Front DesksexydoctorNovember 28 2006, 17:33:39 UTC
Christian blinked at Chrono. "I checked her chart, I was going to tell her she could leave this morning," he said. "She seems fine to go. Physically at least." Mentally, she looked like a loon.
Re: Front Desknun_betterNovember 28 2006, 17:39:46 UTC
"I told her that," Chrono said, rubbing at his temple, "but she insisted on...this. In her defense, she hasn't had very good experiences when it comes to medical facilities and captivity..."
Rosette's head peeked through the front door, "Chrono, come on! I can't rescue you with a broken arm, so get your ass in gear!"
"What are they gonna do, hold me captive?"
"YES!"
"Rosette, the doctor just said that you ca--"
Eep! Doctor! Rosette's eyes grew wide and she remembered that she was escaping and quickly closed the door.
Chrono just closed his eyes and sighed. "I might be back later to check on what sort of pain medication you guys gave her, because I wat to make sure it never gets used on her again..."

"Oookay," Christian said slowly. "Well, your hand looks okay at least. Just take some ibuprofen or something if it hurts. If any blisters appear come back to the clinic, if the wacky nun will let you."
Re: Front Desknun_betterNovember 28 2006, 17:47:11 UTC
Chrono smirked a little. A coffee burn was nothing compared to hellfire. "Thanks, I will. Sorry about...all that. I better go, though, before she starts climbing the roof to execute a daring rescue."
