FTEC Saturday Evening [10/7]

Oct 07, 2006 17:07

After spending some time up at the school with Phale and the kids in detention, Wilson had headed home for a nap. Rolling out of bed an hour before his shift, he showered and ate a light lunch to hold him over till Phale brought dinner down later in the evening, then packed up his briefcase and headed down to the clinic ( Read more... )

Sometime during the night a large black dog came bounding into the clinic.

Dinner had been enjoyed and perhaps it was the scent of leftovers that caught Sean's attention. Wilson was sitting at the desk, next to Phale working on the crossword when he heard the pattering of pads.

Looking up he blinked.

"Wow... Angel wasn't kidding, you have gotten big!" Really, how many large black labs were seen running around Fandom at this hour. Scooting back from the desk, Wilson patted his knee to encourage Sean to him.

[ooc: Angel/Sean - Wilson - Phale good order?]

"Goodness, is that Sean?" Aziraphale laughed, smiling brightly at the dog. Wilson had mentioned that Angel still had him, and that really meant a great deal to Aziraphale.

Hunting around in the leftovers, he put together a little plate of food. Nothing spicy, of course.

Sean happily took the food and licked the hand of any who offered one.

Angel came in behind him. "Yep, that's him. Told you he was big now."

[ooc: yep, order works for me!]

Grinning at Phale, Wilson nodded. "Yep, this is Sean, present your hand for proper dog kisses."

After getting his hand thoroughly cleaned by doggie tongue, Wilson gave Sean's ears a rub and looked up at the door.

"Good evening, Angel." He said cheerfully. "You're right, he's gotten huge."

Aziraphale offered some head scritching as well, and fetched a bowl of water to go along with Sean's dinner. Returning, he leaned against the desk and waved Angel toward the chair.

"Good evening, my dear. Did you enjoy the Homecoming dance?"

Angel took a seat. "I did, thanks. Very little dancing on my part. Just the way I like it."

Sean gave Phale a lick to say thank you, then tucked in to his dinner.

Grinning as the angel got licked despite himself, Wilson leaned forward with his arms resting along his thighs.

"Hmmm, very little? That seems to imply at least a bit of dancing?" He teased good naturedly.

Aziraphale didn't mind the dog kisses, and he was happy to provide more petting whenever Sean was finished with his food. He did have to chuckle at Angel's reluctance to dance though.

"I expect it was a difficult job to avoid the dancing altogether," he agreed. "But it must have been nice to see all the familiar faces."

"Just a little slow dancing," Angel said. "That I can cope with. And yeah. It is. I didn't realize how much I missed everyone until I saw them again."

"Have you had a chance to talk with Blair?" Wilson couldn't help asking and there was a definite thread of concern in his tone.

He wanted Angel to talk to Blair but he also wanted to talk to Angel about Blair afterwards, if there was time. The weekend was too short.

Not being aware that there was an Angel-Blair issue beyond what had happened during the whole resouling event of last fall, Aziraphale gave Wilson a puzzled look.

"I don't think I had realized that myself," he said to Angel. "Our returning here was unexpected, but turned out to be a blessing."

"Yeah," Angel said now that his player had just finished setting up the answer to that question. "I did. Before I came here."

To Phale he said, "You're both teaching now, right?"

There were questions on the tip of Wilson's tongue but since the answers probably still need to be played out he bit them back and looked to Phale to let him address Angel's question and fill the vampire in on how they'd ended up coming back to Fandom.

Nodding, Aziraphale replied, "Yes, if you can imagine. Someone apparently thought it was a good idea. James has Philosophy of Values and Humor, and I'm teaching one on prophecy."

He reached down and absently patted Sean's head, grinning slyly. "James love...I would bet Angel would love to hear about how you actually ended up back in Fandom."

"You just show up wearing your ties for that last one, right?" Angel asked Wilson.
