Clinic Hours

Lisa slinks into the Clinic. Her last three times here have been rather traumitizing, first she made psycho_jackass grow an abnormally large amount of body hair, then she was faced with the jackass new Clinic Security, and then a student who was passed out on the floor.

To keep her mind off of her troubles, she makes a new bulletin board.

Lisa gave him a soft smile, and approached him slowly, putting her arms around his shoulders gently.

"You're a good guy. Don't let other people tell you different."

"Thanks, Lisa," he put one arm around her lightly, as though afraid she might break or run off if he tried anything more than that. "It means a lot that people here are willing to give me a second chance."

"Everyone deserves a second chance. I'm glad I'm not the only person who is willing to give you one."

She pulled back just an inch to look in his eyes. "I'm not hurting you, am I?"

"You, Grissom, even Dr. House - it's been really great," he caught her looking at him. "I - uh - no. You're not. It's nice."

"Good... good."

She let her gaze linger on his face, looking in his eyes for any signs of pain, and seeing none she continued.

"Dr. House is a good man. I know it may seem like we don't get along sometimes, but I respect him a great deal. I'm glad he was able to help you; I'm glad I was able to help you."

"Me too," Angelus grinned. "And not just because I can move without feeling like I'm destroying my ribs. It's been nice to meet people. Good people. And hey, I got a chess partner out of it too." Angelus frowned, geniunely curious, "Do you think Dr. House cheats at chess?"

Lisa laughed, "Umm... he's certainly smart enough not to cheat, but I would recommend keeping your eyes on the board. One time, he tied my hand to a chair with surgical tubing to that he could beat me at Goldeneye. The fucker."

That earned a snort of laughter from him. "Okay. Kinky chess with the Doc. I'm duly warned." He paused. "And now also have some interesting mental imagery." He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck again. "I should, uh, I should probably go. Before somebody yells at you for talking to me."

"You brought it up!" he accused her, laughing. "I was innocently in the land of chess. No handcuffs involved. Well," he grinned, "not unless the doc uses a safe word."

Angelus slipped the newly closed jewelry box back into his pocket, then held out his hands as though waiting to be cuffed. "Well okay, but I tell you this didn't happen at my last physical."

She cuffs him lightly on the arm, and replies teasingly.

"Oh, don't you wish? Now I know why you so enjoyed my bedside manner."

Angelus grinned as he folded his arms back. "Well that and you didn't laugh at me when I took my pants off. I appreciate that in a girl."

"They actually train us to do that before we can work in the clinic. It's right before the lesson on learning how to properly clean a bedpan."
