Clinic Hours

Sep 21, 2005 16:07

Lisa slinks into the Clinic. Her last three times here have been rather traumitizing, first she made psycho_jackass grow an abnormally large amount of body hair, then she was faced with the jackass new Clinic Security, and then a student who was passed out on the floor.

To keep her mind off of her troubles, she makes a new bulletin board.

Drinking with Barbossa? No wonder you're hungover! )

Angelus walks into the clinic with a small bundle held under one arm. Anyone looking out into the hallway prior to him walking through the clinic doors might have noticed him primping a bit. Outfit is black jeans, blue button-down shirt with the collar open to at least three buttons.

He walks in and looks around, trying to assess if Cuddy's there, if she's busy, and, if the answer to both is yes, where he could be out of the way until she's done.

[ooc: LOVE the graphic.]

Lisa is sitting at the desk, staring at a piece of paper and tapping a pencil against it. She stands up to walk around and stretch her legs, staring out the window. The clinic is silent around her; there is no one else here at the moment.

Seeing that she's not busy, Angelus steps up to the counter. He tries to catch her eye. "Hey."

Lisa turns around, and smiles, but it quickly slides off her face. She can't believe what Parker has told her about Angelus, but she's naturally a bit suspicious.

"Hi, how are you doing? Healed up okay?"

"Doing better, yeah, thanks," he rubs his ribs where the bruising was to show how much better he's doing. Then, noticing the dimming of her look, his own face falls and he steps back. "I - I'm bugging you, right? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I'll go."

"No, no, of course you're not. I'm just a little stressed out, not your fault. Would you like to have a seat?"

"Only if I'm not taking up any of your time," he said. "I don't want to get you into trouble."

"I manage to get myself into enough trouble as it is." She gives him a shy smile and grabs a chair. "Really... no problem."

"Good. Great. Good." Angelus looked as though he couldn't stop stumbling over the words, and instead fixed the situation by holding out the bundle he'd been carrying. It was a plastic grocery bag, the contents of which were somewhat obscured, but rectangluar in shape. "Um - I got you something. It might be stupid."

"You... got me something? Oh, you didn't need to do that! I mean, I was glad to help you, it's my job."

"Maybe, but you were nice to me," Angelus ducked his head, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "It's - it's just some magazines. A friend of mine said they'd be good to help pass the time at the clinic. I thought maybe you'd like them."

The bag did, in fact, contain a small stack of the latest issues of Time, People, US Weekly, and the like.

"Oh wow, that's incredibly thoughtful." Lisa smiles, she is truly touched by the thoughtfulness of the gift. "Thank you so much, I really appreciate it, but I like I said, it was no trouble. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You haven't had any problems, have you?"

"No, no," he leaned against the wall, folding his arms across his chest. "Been, you know, taking it easy - " he cleared his throat to convey what kind of easy he meant " - but otherwise it's been okay. You?" his eyes looked hopeful "You been doing okay?"

"Good, that's good. It looks like you are walking and breathing a lot easier, and your face looks great. You heal quickly, I see."

I've been okay... rough week last week here. But that's what happens, I've been through worse. I'm busy and stressed out, but excited."

"I can imagine," he said, sympathetically. "And, hey, you've got Student Council on top of it. I don't envy you."

"But I enjoy it. The politics of it aren't fun sometimes, but I really like being able to help people, and I'm good at organization.

She pauses, unsure of what to say.

Why don't you run for office? I know you had a conflict with someone, but if people got to know you..."
