Thank you, these are all great ideas. Particularly creating your own traditions and not doing things people think you should be doing. I really appreciate all of these suggestions. It sounds like you have wonderful, fun-filled Christmases.

I don't mind the gift exchange in and of itself so much, and I actually like doing things such as this one, where you put some thought into one meaningful gift. I just don't like the rampant and rabid consumerism that's taken over the season.
