Aminopterin- rat poison/cancer drug
I actually have a can of the contaminated food that I've been meaning to take back. Lord knows how much I fed to my poor kitties. Thankfully, my cats are fine. They only eat it occasionally and they all split one can so if they got it, they didn't get much. Still, I think it's disgusting and incredibly irresponsible. I've talked to some of my tech friends who work in clinics and several have seen pets dying from this. I think I'm going to write Iams. Grrr...
It is also disturbing that something used as a rat poison can also be a cancer drug. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about it.
