A spaniel!!!

Mother is learning a spaniel. She says it's a language that they speak in Spain. She wants to visit Spain this year, she says, and a place called pen ye scholar. She keeps asking the owls 'Two haha blah, in a spaniel?' and they just stare. I've never seen an owl stare that much. It's quite fascinating, really.
And there's an amateur Quidditch match on this Friday! They've asked me to be a beater for the orange team! And we're going to beat the red team! And Father says he's going to buy me an owl if I did well with the OWLs last year!!! Mother was laughing and said something in a spaniel.
I didn't get it.
Mother says we're going to have chicken-a-spaniel for dinner tonight. I thought the Japanese ate dogs, not the Spanish!!! I hope she doesn't find a spaniel though, because I don't think it would taste very nice and it would make an awful mess, wouldn't it?!
