I Stole Your Accordian
Hey LJ. I’m back.
From what, I have no idea.
I guess I’ve avoided writing because I really haven’t had anything to say. Plenty to write about for sure - so many summer fun times*. But I can’t find the commentary. I go through cycles where I think it’s selfish to fill The Internet with nothing more than “what I did this weekend”, that it’s boring to anyone else but me. But I try to remind myself that doing this for posterity’s sake is good enough. So with that pressure off, maybe I can get back in the habit.
I went out Friday night with a group of fun friends, but remained introverted. I did not sparkle. Strangers’ awkward attempts at flirtations/conversations were met with little more than a sigh.
*Some of those summer fun times include:
-Jetskiing & night-swimming
-Setting up my new fish tank
-Dinner party & croqueting at the Mac’s
-Blackberry picking & Magnolia, AR thrifting
-Helping my grandparents pick their garden
-My birthday party with great friends & awesome presents
-A boatride with the Dews’s on Cross Lake
-Hanging out at Joe’s & actually hearing some good music (Dirtfoot, King Hippo, Vidrines, Comets on Fire, Mars Vegas)
-Mowing our yard
-Seriously. Yard work, so rewarding.
-My Godson’s 2nd birthday party
-And my new favorite time-wasting game www.kingdomofloathing.com
